To help address these concerns the interim executive implemented S&OP for quality improvement; set specific goals and objectives for the current COO with accountability system in place; upgraded reporting system for engineering and programming, as well as, re-organizing engineering into multi-shifts; managed and improved engineering department; and assessed and hired a replacement COO while coaching the family member and place them into a new position to maximize the value; he bridged the transition of the leadership gap, and established a plan for succession.

Results achieved by the interim executive

Through all this work the interim executive was able to help the company achieve some impactful results. They improved lead time by over 60%. Customer returns were reduced by 75%, and involuntary employee turnover in the plant was reduced by 75%.
